Founded in 2010 by Palestinian theologian Alex Awad, Christ at the Checkpoint is a ministry of Bethlehem Bible College and is now convened by the Bethlehem Institute for Peace and Justice (BIPJ), the college's institute for global church engagement.

For more than fifteen years, the conference has faithfully amplified the witness of Palestinian Christians, inviting the global Church into biblically grounded dialogue, faithful discipleship, and solidarity rooted in the teachings of Jesus.
